Any time a loved one passes it produces a very stressful time for an individual. Any person that has experienced the loss of a loved one usually goes through three specific phases.
- Anger. Becoming angry at someone or some situation.
- Self Pity. Why me?
- Acceptance. Accepting that the person is gone and no amount of hindsight will bring them back.
Each person is unique. We do not have any control over experiencing the phases, but we do have control over how long we will spend at each one. Using hypnosis, we may help the person in grief to move forward so that the healing process may begin. This is not to say that the person lost will be forgotten, but the person is encouraged to celebrate the lost one's life. We must remember that the person lost would have wanted us to move forward and live our day as happy as possible.
Grief is usually 2-3 sessions.
